Time for another update on Earthbound Episode 6 shooting.
Last Friday (the 22nd), we went to a field outside of town to film a scene that occurs late in the episode. We had to climb under a fence to get out there, so I was rather happy that nobody came out to yell at us during filming. The following day, we returned to Hatfield Park to film in its depths once again.
Now, after a total of eight days of principal photography (counting the four days of shooting from July 2010), we are suspending principal photography for Earthbound Episode 6 for the time being. This isn’t bad news, though – we’ve simply finished everything we can shoot for right now. There are a few more scenes to shoot for this episode, but they’ll either be green-screened in later or are in locations we won’t be able to shoot until later in the year.
So we are now, once again, in the very familiar territory of editing scenes for the episode and figuring out visual effects shots. What we’ve edited so far for Episode 6 is coming together pretty well – this episode is feeling leaner and faster paced than the 55-minute behemoth that was Episode 5. However, I’m afraid there won’t be any big Earthbound news for awhile… so, hang tight while we keep working on this!
So what else could possibly keep you interested in Ridgway Films in the meantime? Well, we are currently working on two previously unannounced projects. One of them we’ve hinted at on the Facebook page, and the other has quietly been making its way through pre-production. The first should be out within the next couple of days. The other one… well, you’ll just have to wait and see…
