Elliott was visiting Alva for Halloween weekend, and Brenen and Robert were going out trick-or-treating that night as Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. The entire first chapter was filmed in under two hours that afternoon. However, the short was delayed by a month due to the visual effect of Harry breaking the window to Uncle Vernon’s car. Robert first had to purchase After Effects, and he and Elliott spent an entire afternoon trying to figure out how to make a glass-breaking effect.
	Harry Potter and the Forgotten Assignment Original Release Date: August 15, 2010 On the last day of vacation, Harry Potter realizes he forgot to do an assignment over the summer. 	Harry Potter and the Extended Universe Original Release Date: July 4, 2017 Five years after their last adventure, Harry Potter and best friend Ron discover that their franchise is being rebooted. Bonus Videos: April Fools Announcement \| Storyboard / Table Read \| Behind-the-Scenes Documentary Show Fun Facts After completing “Harry Potter and the Final Video,” we floated ideas for a fourth Harry Potter short several times over the years. The only constant in our minds was that “getting bought by Disney” would be the explanation for why there had to be a follow-up to subvert the finality of “The Final Video.” But we all agreed to not begin working on a fourth Harry Potter until there was a story worth doing. Eventually, we landed on an idea that tackled the topics of never-ending franchises, gender-swapped sequels, and online cancel culture mobs. “Harry Potter and the Extended Universe” was our first film to be shot in full, uncompressed 4K resolution! The raw footage for this film totaled a staggering seven terabytes, and we had to use three separate hard drives (nicknamed “Bulbasaur,” “Charmander,” and “Squirtle”) over the course of filming to download footage and make redundancies.
