Earthbound Episode 6 Teaser Trailer

All right, we realize it’s been an excruciatingly long time since we’ve posted anything serious relating to our Earthbound series (has a whole year really gone by since we posted Episode 5?).  With that in mind, we have released this trailer for the sixth episode of our Earthbound series.

It’s only a quick teaser trailer, but hopefully you’ll still find it exciting, as well as reassuring that we haven’t forgotten about Earthbound and that we’re still working on completing it.

Tune in later this summer for more Earthbound news!

Store Update! Tentacle DVDs Back in Stock!

Time for a store update!

First off, we finally got around to printing some new Day of the Tentacle DVDs.  They had been out of stock recently, but they’re back now, though not just as a normal reprint, mind you.  That’s right – this new printing contains stylish, collectible disc art for 2012!  Feast your eyes!

DOTT 2012 Collectible Art

If you don’t have it yet, go ahead and donate some money to Ridgway Films to get yourself a free copy of one of our earliest films.

The other store news is that Spampy’s Deep-Fried Films has been marked down to $12.99!  No one had bought any copies yet, so we can only assume that the price was set a little too high.  But it’s way cheaper now!  Keep in mind you’re getting a truckload of content with this DVD – two dual-layer discs crammed full of our most recent films – literally hours of high-quality, low-budget entertainment!

We will most likely not be reprinting the Spampy discs once we sell the ones we’ve ordered so far, so you really should get your hands on it if you want to complete your Ridgway Films DVD library!

Come back soon for more fun news!  It’s gonna be an exciting summer!!!

Mother 3: The Movie

Many of you have probably noticed the lack of Earthbound activity lately.  Many of you have probably also noticed that we’ve been hinting recently about a secret Mother related project that we’ve been working on.  It’s been hard to keep this thing a total secret, but the time to unveil is now.  Ridgway Films is proud to present Mother 3:  The Movie.

“It started as an idea,” says writer/director/executive producer Elliott Ridgway, who also stars as Flint.  “We’ve had a lot of success lifting large portions of pre-written dialog and recognizable events from a cult classic video game and shoving it all into movie form, so why not do it again?”

Mother 3:  The Movie is a faithful adaptation of the classic Game Boy Advance game from 2006.  The game is the third in the Mother series, with Earthbound being the second entry.  Production on the movie began in early 2011, after Elliott accidentally dropped the hard drive storing most of the footage for Episode 6 and Episode 7 into a crack in the earth while shooting the Fire Spring scenes, at which point the Earthbound series which Ridgway Films had been working on since 2007 was quietly cancelled, and work on Mother 3:  The Movie quickly began.

“Everyone kept telling me Mother 3 is the sequel to Earthbound,” commented Elliott Ridgway, “but I’m just not seeing it.  I was pretty confused for most of the project – I kept asking people, ‘Where’s Ness?’ but nobody seemed to know.  But there were a lot of monsters and special effects and whatnot so I think the fans will be pleased.  Frankly I don’t really care about what’s in the movie at this point, since YouTube let us monetize the thing.”

Anton Ridgway, who stars as Duster, said, “I’m just glad I got to grow an afro.  It was a very rewarding and hairy experience.”

Alex Ridgway stars as both Lucas and Claus, using the groundbreaking split-screen technology seen in Adam Sandler’s smash comedy hit Jack and Jill.

Phil Ridgway, who was forced into playing the role of Kumatora, declined to comment on the film, and refused to attend the Hollywood premiere.

When asked for his thoughts on the prospect of a Mother 3 movie, Reggie Fils-Aime, President and chief operating officer of Nintendo of America, expressed “serious concern,” going on to remark, “I’m not sure North America’s body is ready for a Mother 3 movie.”

We’re fully confident that this feature-length adaptation of the beloved classic artwork that is Mother 3 will warm the hearts of millions.  Please watch, favorite, comment, subscribe, and then watch again!  You won’t be disappointed.
