You’ve probably seen it by now, but the first teaser trailer for Earthbound Episode 7 (episode title to be announced) just dropped:
The natural question at this point is “Hey, when is this thing coming out??” Since we’ve been historically bad at guessing our Earthbound episode release dates, and we’re currently juggling working on post-production for this episode amongst a host of other real-life responsibilities, we’re gonna wait until it gets a little closer to being done before we announce a release date. But rest assured, we have made significant strides towards the finish line, but we still have a ways to go.
We truly appreciate the encouragement and enthusiasm shown so far for this trailer, even after all these years of waiting. Hang in there everyone!

In October 2017, brothers Elliott, Anton, and Alex Ridgway embarked on a journey halfway across the world to spend a week in that cultural wonderland that is JAPAN.
This 49-minute film documents that journey, spanning such diverse elements as visiting traditional Japanese temples, checking out the video game scene, making a pilgrimage to Nintendo headquarters, staying in a pod hotel, seeing a kabuki play, and experiencing virtual reality the Japanese way.

Back in August 2015, I helped crew the sixth season of a really cool local Albuquerque film project called The Amazing Race: Neighborhood Edition, where several teams race around neighborhoods while solving puzzles and completing physical challenges. It was exhausting but a lot of fun! And now, the first episode has finally been released on YouTube! Check it out here:
I recall that Season 6 ended up being a pretty fierce competition, so you’ll want to subscribe to Los Metates Studios to make sure you catch the rest of the episodes as they are released.
Los Metates Studios is a very prolific and talented filmmaking group, so I highly recommend checking them out in general if you’re looking for other creative, do-it-yourself filmmaking on YouTube.
