Indiana Jones and the Tablet of Unspeakable Power
Indiana
Jones must enter the Temple of the Lost Apples to recover the Tablet of
Unspeakable Power before the Nazis get their hands on it.
This video was created to show to our dad on the Christmas we got him
an iPad (hence the theme of apples and tablets). We showed the
video
to him, then had our sister Elisabeth run into the living room to deliver the package once the video was over.

more or less cancelled (despite all the work we poured into it in the

The first episode in our rendition of the 1995 cult classic RPG, Earthbound.
In this episode, Ness goes to investigate a mysterious noise from
outside, but events follow that eventually send him on a quest to save
the world from an impending alien invasion. Our original
intention was to create an homage to UbseyMovies's Earthbound Saga video
series by recreating scenes from their version - however, we soon got
carried away and decided to branch out and tell the rest of the story...

Shadow of the Pink Panther
Watch it on YouTube | Get the DVD
Shadow of the Pink Panther
is our best and longest feature film to date! Following the
spirit of the classic Blake Edwards / Peter Sellers films, this movie
sees the inept Inspector Clouseau stumbling into a new case - when
Clouseau inadvertently saves the French President from a terrorist
attack, he is assigned to the job of stopping the terrorist ring
responsible. But will he be able to overcome repeated attacks
from his own overdedicated manservant, a barrage of deadly weapons
helmed by his own lunatic boss, and his own two left feet? We
started filming this movie in June of 2007, and didn't finish it until
July of 2008. If you have two hours to spare, this movie is
definitely worth a watch!

Late Night with David Letterman
David Letterman fever had hit our house in 2007, so our Christmas break
movie project ended up being a no-budget parody of sketches and gags
from David Letterman's show, as it was back in the '80s (with things
like an interview with Mr. T and the old-sounding theme song) and as it
is nowadays (with "Will It Float?" and Biff Henderson sketches).
We made it really fast and didn't put an incredible amount of work into
it, so yeah, it's not that great, but hopefully you can get some
enjoyment out of it if you watch it.

Ted the Sleeping Bag Bothers Drivers

Case of the Snatched Cerebrum
This was the giant follow-up project to Day of the Tentacle. The plot goes as follows: next-to-next-door
neighbor kid Tyler Melton gets kidnapped by a sinister organization
that wants to harness his massive brain for a machine that could spell
the end of the solar system as we know it. It's also loosely a
sequel to Case of the Missing Nintendo Games,
another movie we made long ago (see below), so there are some
references back to that movie in it. We started working on it in
February 2006 with a grand scope of a story in mind, but due to
conflicting schedules with the actors and me getting tired of the
project halfway through, we cut the story down as much as possible and
finished it on April 1, 2007 (no joke!). While it's not as
great as the stuff we've made since then, it's still a timeless tale of
terror, trauma, and Tyler!

Buried Treasure
Inspired by The Present (a short film made for Peter Jackson on the set of King Kong)
we created our own "mystery package trading hands" movie over the
course of one day on Christmas break of 2006. When we premiered
the movie at home, we had our little sister Elisabeth run into the
living room at the end of the movie carrying the treasure chest, which
contained a Christmas present.

Day of the Tentacle
Watch it on YouTube | Buy the DVD
Day of the Tentacle is basically a rote movie adaptation of
the LucasArts point-n-click computer
game by the same name, in which three
college students must travel back in time to prevent a
tentacle from mutating
and taking over the world. However,
most
of the story results from the trio being sent to the wrong time periods
and
just trying to get back home. We filmed and edited this thing in
2005, but came back to re-edit the movie and tighten up the
special effects and post-production work in 2007 to make it more
watchable. In December 2008, the movie was
shown at the official book release party for Rogue Leaders, a history of
LucasArts. Unfortunately, we were unable
to attend, but Tim Schafer, co-creator of the original game, was there and wrote us a very kind note about the movie afterwards.

Case of the Missing Nintendo Games
After stumbling through The
Digimon Movie, our second movie project was entitled Case of the Missing Nintendo Games, in which the five of us (Elliott, Anton, Phil,
Christopher, and Keaton) went on a supposedly hilarious quest to recover our stolen Nintendo games, which, as it
would turn out, were being used by German scientists to create a bomb to blow up the world. This one
really isn't much better than The
Digimon Movie, but it's included on this list so that there's no
confusion on plot information that's referenced in the sequel, Case of the Snatched Cerebrum,
which is much more watchable.

|
The Digimon Movie
In 2002, we embarked
with friends Christopher and Keaton Zahorsky on our first "movie project." Armed with nothing more than costumes from
our closets, a camera that worked only half the time, and more enthusiasm than
endurance to finish the project, we filmed a good 15 minutes of footage
re-enacting scenes from the TV show Digimon before giving up and editing
what we had shot together with scenes from the show. Suffice
it to say, the end result was so lame that it will probably never see
the light of the Internet, but it's included here for posterity's sake
as our first movie.
